The thinning stream ran narrowed and small, gurgling quietly. Pebbles clattered together as they rode on the stream and the sun cats a wondrous glow on the water. A small, lithe She-cat padded next to the stream. Her fur glowed brightly as the sun cast a glow. Her blue eyes bright and happy, like always. She gazed upwards, giving a small smile and sitting down, curling her tail around her paws, enjoying the scenery.

A silvery tom with dark grey crack-like patterns, bent down over the water upstream to lap up some of the clear, cool water. He looked up when he smelled something in the air. Nothing that shouldn't be there, but the smell stood out from the usual scents of the forest. He walked down the river a ways and found his clan's deputy sitting by the stream. Forgetting the smell completely, he sat next to her silently. It was a calm silence though; Not awkward. Finally he spoke. "What brings you out here?" He pressed. She seemed so deep in thought, he wanted to know what she was thinking about.

"I was hunting," he said, looking down at the water. "I didn't find anything though...It is quiet. Even for the prey!" His ears pointed backwards as if listening for prey again.

SymphonicHeart let out a small amused purr. "Then why don't we look somewhere else? If you don't mind me joining that is..." She mewed. For some reason, hunting with Hailstorm sounded fun to her. She mentally shrugged it off for now.

Hailstorm jumped to his paws. "The more the merrier!" He exclaimed lamely. He decided to get the other cat's mind off his last sentence by suggesting a place to hunt. "Let's go out to sunningrocks. There's bound to be some prey there!"

Hailstorm bouded after, and though he would never admit it, he was struggling to catch up. 'She's fast!'He thought. He tried not to let his breathlessness show.

SymphonicHeart skidded to a halt when the large, warm rock came within a few fox lengths away. She stopped and crouched down, giving her tail a small wave, to let Hailstorm know that he could catch the first prey that was seen.

Hailstorm jumped over the last bush between him and sunningrocks just in time to see Symphonicheart's tail signal. He nodded in aknowlegement, and looked aruoung for prey. He didn't have tp look long before he saw a ouse bathing in he sun, enjoying the warmth of the granite stones. He pounced, bringing hid paw down on the prey and killing it borfore it could even think about running away. He turned to Symphonicheart. "You hungry?" He asked.

Hailstorm just nodded "Thanks!" He brought his mouse over to the edge of the forest and scraped some dirt ver it. "I'm not hingry either. I'll just bring it back to camp and put it in the fresh-kill pile. I'm sure we could use it." Hailstorm looked up from his mouse burying once it was done. He looked back to the rocks and saw another mouse nibbling at some seeds. He flicked his tail to get Symphonicheart's attention then nodded towards the mouse.

SymphonicHeart turned her head towards the rocks and spotted the mouse's brown body. She crouched down, taking a few steps closer and then pounced on the mouse and bite down on it's neck, killing it instantly. She turned around and gave a smile through the fur. "Thank you!" She mewed

Hailstorm nodded politely. "You're welcome!" He answered, scanning the clearing for more prey. "Hmm..." He muttered after finding no more prey. "Perhaps there's not as much prey here as I thought there would be...Where d'you think it all went?" He asked.

SymphonicHeart buried the mouse and gave her ears a small twitch. "I'm not sure..." She mewed. "Maybe they fled when we arrived..." She mewed, and parted her jaws, taking in the scents. "I guess now it would be best to head to another spot..."
